Orkney skies, 100% Jacob 4 ply, 100g pure wool.

Naturally dyed with wild Orkney plants. Hand collected and processed using heritage techniques, this is an Alder dye, with iron wash creating the grey pinks of the winter stormy skies, showing natural variegation throughout the wool.

Soya mordant is used.

I have attempted to capture the colour accurately although colour may vary on screens.

A versatile, hard wearing 100% wool, ideal for outdoor garments.

Items should be washed on a cool hand wash only, some bleeding may occur in the first wash. Some plant material may remain in the wool.
